The primary reason we launched the Kickstarter campaign was to gauge how many people would buy the Shabbos App if we fully developed it. While we designed a concept app to test the idea, in order to move from concept to production we would need to spend substantial time and money to fully develop and work out any and all glitches in the app.

We got a tremendous response to our social media campaign, both positive and negative, as expected. However, there are a lot of people who for one reason or another believe (or want to believe) that the Shabbos App is a hoax or a joke. In fact one Rabbi wrote an entire blog trying to prove we were a hoax. We are not. With HaShem’s help we are planning to release the app with full functionality on Dec first on Google Play.

Given that many people believed we were a hoax or a joke, and that we saw that there are a lot of people interested in the app, we accomplished the goal that we wanted to achieve with Kickstarter. We now know people want the Shabbos App, and we are going to give it to them.

Those who contributed in the Kickstarter campaign will receive the app for free as our way of saying thanks for believing in us.
